ADVICE ON PHOTOGRAPHING PEOPLE IN MOROCCO
A great experience with it's vast landscapes and variety of scenarios it is a great photo opportunity. I recommend it to any photographer with a warning that its hard work.
The people are definitely the most fascinating subjects to take photographs of but the most problematic. With my camera in my hand i earned stern looks, Shouting and general covering of there faces or turning away. It was most definitely hard work to not offend anyone. Armed with my zoom lens and picking a hidden corner on the square i still feel like i didn't capture the captivating and magical environment around me. I would love to go again and have a little more time and unquestionable recommenced anyone to take a trip there.
here are a few tips to help you on your way...
- always have all the equipment you need, its really hard to get hold of stuff like film and batteries from shops etc so make sure you bring it with you before flying out.
-stay in a Raid rather then a hotel, it really sets the scene for you and you will most definately get some great images and its a great base.
-Expect to pay people to have there photo taken. its not alot but the smake charmers, acrobats, fortune tellers etc will all expect a few Duram for there time.
- it is a great place for overcoming your fears of taking pictures of strangers, so go there with that in mind. if you show confidence and perseverance you will get what you want. (but dont forget to be respectful to)
- If you plan to go into the mountains make sure you take a guide with you, with out them you will definately miss you on al l the fantastic places and people.
i will update this as and when i think of more things !

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
